Mr. Byong-Deok Min, our non-standing director, is current President & CEO of Kookmin Bank, the largest subsidiary of KB Financial Group Inc. President and CEO Byong-Deok Min came to his current position on July 2010 based on his extensive and in-depth financial knowledge and rich experience in banking industry. Since joining Kookmin Bank in August 1981, CEO and President Min served many important positions. In May 2000, he served as the General Manager of Songtan Branch and in March 2002, he moved to the Chungmuro Branch and in July 2005 transferred to the Yeong-dong Branch. In January 2007, he assumed an important responsibility as the Head of Gyeongseo Regional Head Office and was appointed as the Head of Nambu Regional Head Office in January 2008. He was soon promoted to the Senior Executive Vice President and served commercial banking field of Kookmin Bank until July 2010. His vast and diverse experience testifies to his loyalty and affection for Kookmin Bank.

 

President and CEO Byong-Deok Min, graduated from Bomoon high school in 1974 and received his B.A. in Business Administration from Dongguk University in Korea.

Mr. Vaughn Richtor, our non-standing director, is CEO of ING Banking Asia. Based in Singapore, Vaughn has direct oversight of ING Commercial Banking Asia activities, ING Direct in Australia and ING’s three strategic investment stakes in ING Vysya Bank in India, Bank of Beijing in China and TMB Bank in Thailand.

 

A seasoned ING banker of almost 20 years, Vaughn has assumed numerous roles in various geographical locations. His most recent was as Managing Director and CEO of ING Vysya Bank where he spent three years working on the successful turnaround of the bank from 2006. During this period, the bank’s productivity and profitability increased significantly. Vaughn also led the successful upgrade of the bank’s operations for greater efficiency, expanded the network and introduced new products and services to some 2 million customers in India.

 

He joined ING in 1991 as Head of Corporate Banking of ING Bank in the UK. In 1993, he assumed the Deputy General Manager position and started the Dublin branch. In 1995, he went to Australia to establish the ING operations there which eventually became ING Direct. He built ING Direct into the country’s 6th largest retail bank over the next 10 years.

 

Prior to joining ING, Vaughn spent five years at ABN Bank/AMRO in the UK, and held stints in his earlier career at the Sedgwick Group, Rank Xerox and SKF (UK).

 

Currently, Vaughn is a member of the Board of Directors at ING Vysya Bank Limited, India, TMB Bank Public Company Limited, Thailand, ING Bank (Australia) Limited and KB Financial Group, Korea. He is also a member of ING Group Leadership Council & Management Council.

 

Vaughn holds a Bachelor degree (First Class Honours) in Business Studies from Southbank London and a Corporate Finance Diploma from the London Business School, U.K. He has also completed a General Management Programme Cedep & Management in International Banking Cedep at Insead, Fontainbleu, France.
