Social Volunteering

KB Social Volunteering Body

KB Social Volunteering Body is an organization for volunteering by KB staffs and it helps executing enterprise’s social responsibility as well as self-realization of the participated staffs through the service activities and social contribution works. As of the end of 2008, 36 volunteering bodies with 28,000 people in 1,309 teams have participated.

Major Social Volunteering

01 The Day of KB Volunteering
KB Social Volunteering Body is working for services by all branches every year. The Day of KB Volunteering is the special day to practice more love through the events to remind the will for social volunteering of KB and strengthen the volunteers’ mind.
02 KB Kimchi Sharing
KB Social Volunteering Body conveys warm heart to about 10,000 people in difficulties through the event of Kimchi Sharing in November every year. The fixed money is collected from staffs’ wages every month for the expenses and they take part in Kimchi preparing works directly.
03 KB Briquet Sharing
KB Social Volunteering Body conveys warm heart to the people in difficulties through the event of Briquet Sharing every winter. 250,000 briquets are delivered to the households in low incomes by KB staffs directly in link with the Korea National Red Cross.
04 KB Global Volunteering
2008, the First Team of KB Global Volunteering had visited to Cambodia and came back after working for the services such as building and mending of houses for local people, rice sharing and bread sharing. KB Social Volunteering Body makes efforts to enhance Korea image as well as KB image at local site through the services for the countries in South East Asia in accordance with KB’s position as a global bank.
