1. Title: Response to inquiry from the Korea Exchange relating to press reports regardign a potential sale of shares of ING Life
   Insurance Comapny, Korea Ltd. by Kookmin Bank.
2. Response: Kookmin Bank is reviewing a potential sale of its stake in ING Life Insurance Company, Korea Ltd., but has made
   no specific decision in connection with the above.
   In the event that there are any changes to the status of this matter, an update will be provided by no later than March 23, 2009 (and, if a definitive decision regarding this matter is made prior to such date, an update will be provided immediately upon such decision).
